Refresh Outreach Ministries is a Spirit-filled, multicultural church of Christian believers united in the love of Jesus Christ. We are a vibrant and diverse community located in Ansbach, Germany, serving military personnel, Department of Defense (DoD) employees, local nationals, and expatriates. Our mission is to transform lives through the power of the Holy Spirit and to build a united family of believers anchored in hope, faith, and love.
We are called to ignite a Spirit-filled revival within the military community and beyond, creating an atmosphere where people from all nationalities and cultural backgrounds feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to grow in their relationship with God. Among those we serve are Germans, Hispanics, Africans, Russians, Middle Easterners, Filipinos, and Americans, including men and women in the U.S. Army. Together, we represent the Kingdom of God and celebrate His goodness through dynamic worship and Spirit-led fellowship.
Embracing a Cornelius-Style Ministry: Inspired by Cornelius’s example, we are devoted to God, generous in spirit, and committed to shining the light of Christ to those we serve. We cultivate a culture of deep faith, active service, and heartfelt devotion.
Fostering Unity: Building a supportive and loving community of believers through fellowship, pastoral care, and meaningful relationships. We are dedicated to ensuring everyone feels like a valued part of the Refresh family.
Strengthening Spiritual Resilience: Equipping military members, DoD personnel, and local nationals with the spiritual tools needed to face life’s challenges. We aim to provide encouragement, guidance, and a strong foundation in faith.
Spreading the Gospel: Actively sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those we serve, bringing hope and salvation to military personnel, their families, and local communities.
Commitment to Prayer: Upholding the power of prayer as a cornerstone of our ministry, we intercede for the needs of our community, seek God’s guidance, and deepen our connection with Him through constant communication.

Pastors Lorenzo & Fatima Fortenberry
Lorenzo and Fatima Fortenberry are retired/ veterans of the United States Army. Lorenzo hails from Columbia Mississippi and Fatima hails from Brooklyn New York City. They met and married at their first duty stationed in Fort Richardson Alaska July 2000. After the birth of their daughter Zyrelle, they PCS’d to Fort Polk LA. It was during this time that Fatima accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and savior. Lorenzo and Fatima served for 8 years at Resurrection Life Worship Center in Leesville LA. Lorenzo served faithfully in the Audio-Visual ministry and Men’s Ministry, when not deployed to Iraq. Fatima served on the intercessory team, prison ministry, and as the Creative Arts Director for the church.

VISION AND MISSION STRATEGY
At Refresh Outreach Ministries, our purpose is rooted in biblical truth and inspired by a passion to serve God and others. We are committed to, but not limited to, the following:
Proclaiming Freedom in Christ: Preaching the good news to the poor, declaring freedom for those trapped by sin, healing the sick, delivering the oppressed, and proclaiming the year of the Lord’s favor (Isaiah 61:1; Luke 4:18-19).
Reaching the World and Saving Souls: Acting as a beacon of hope and salvation, fulfilling the Great Commission by reaching the lost both locally and globally (Mark 16:15-16; Matthew 28:18-20; Hebrews 10:39).
Faithful Soul-Winning Vision: Empowering individual believers to carry the message of Christ and live out the call to evangelism through the guidance of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; Romans 10:13; 1 Corinthians 10:33).
Equipping Believers for Ministry: Encouraging spiritual growth and enabling believers to operate in their God-given gifts through Holy Spirit-led fellowship, mentorship, and training (1 Corinthians 12; Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 4).
Caring for the Needy: Ministering to the practical needs of the poor and marginalized through initiatives such as food pantries, clothing closets, and housing for the homeless and runaways. We strive to embody Christ’s compassion, fulfilling His call to care for the least among us (Matthew 25:34-40; Proverbs 19:17; Galatians 6:10).
Raising and Sending Leaders: Developing workers with a heart for missions and church planting. With guidance from the church, we equip leaders to plant Spirit-led churches locally and abroad, furthering God’s Kingdom (Acts 15:41; Titus 1:5).
Biblical Training for Ministry: Offering Bible training programs with a future goal of establishing a live-in Bible school. This training equips individuals to function in the five-fold ministry, empowering them to build Holy Spirit-anointed churches with a passion for saving souls (Ephesians 4; John 14:26; 1 Peter 4:6).
Fostering Unity in Diversity: Breaking down barriers of race, culture, and nationality to promote unity in the Body of Christ. We believe in reflecting the Kingdom of God by embracing all people, regardless of background (Philippians 1:27; Ephesians 4:3).
Supporting Missionaries: Providing rest, encouragement, and resources for missionaries and their families, ensuring they feel refreshed and supported in their vital work (Matthew 10:40-42; Mark 9:41).
OUR BELIEF
WHAT WE BELIEVE
At Refresh Outreach Ministries, we uphold the Bible as the divinely inspired Word of God and the foundation of our faith. Our core beliefs are as follows:
God and the Trinity: One eternal God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ: The only begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, buried, resurrected, and now interceding at the right hand of the Father.
Salvation: All have sinned and need repentance, forgiveness, and new birth through faith in Jesus Christ's blood.
Sanctification and Holiness: A life of holiness through faith, the Word, and the Holy Spirit is God's standard for His people.
Baptism with the Holy Spirit: Evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
Ordinances of the Church: Water baptism, the Lord's Supper, and the washing of the saints' feet.
Divine Healing: Available for all through Christ’s atonement.
Christ’s Return: A premillennial belief in Jesus’s second coming, resurrection of the righteous, and His millennial reign on earth.
Eternal Destiny: Bodily resurrection and eternal life for the righteous; eternal punishment for the wicked.
These foundational beliefs shape our worship, teaching, and daily living as we strive to follow Jesus Christ and proclaim His message of hope and salvation to the world.
